In Hakama, I work with the body, fabric, and strong light to speak about presence and self-acceptance. I paint in oil on canvas and often combine painting with textile elements. My work is calm, emotional, and deeply human.

In 2020, Baykalova returned to these paintings, reworking them with neon spray paint and oil. What was once failure became freedom.
This series is about releasing fear, trusting the idea, and turning rejection into strength.
